Wrought iron is created from hammering hot Pig iron(Normal MC Iron) on an anvil. In order to forge Iron tools, you need wrought iron.

To obtain iron, refine iron ore in a blast furnace, this gives you a regular Iron ingot. Heat this up in a forge and hammer it to create wrought iron.

In order to properly produce iron you need a blast furnace. A blast furnace cost smoothstone bricks and wrought iron. You need a bronze furnace to create smoothstone, and you need a decent amount of wrought iron from a bloomery.

Early game, before you have a blast furnace. you can create Wrought iron in a bloomery (just like any other ore). this is a very slow process. you might need bellows to help you. when you have enough, create a blast furnace.

//How to optimise process
It is possible to increase the speed you process iron, Applying bellows to a blast furnace heater(any side) can increase smelting speed when constantly pumped. and a trip hammer can turn hot ingots into wrought iron for you. Connect hoppes from a forge to a hammer to channel hot iron into it. Place a lever behind the crank to power it
